  6. MaryAnn Minatra hooked me on Civil War stories.
  7. Susan May Warren gave me a love for spies.
  8. Kate Willis showed me that good sci-fi is possible.
  9. Victoria Lynn will always have a special place in my heart.
  10. Jesseca Wheaton broke me. (She’s also the best at indie WWII.)
  11. Kellyn Roth showed me anyone at any age can write.
  12. G.A. Henty filled the summer of 2014.
  13. Suzanne Woods Fisher made me love Amish fiction.
  14. Angela R. Watts is the Queen of Terror. (In a good way. Sorta.)
  15. I first cried at the Elsie Dinsmore collection.
  16. Ginger Pye has my heart.
  17. Five Little Peppers is a perfect pleasure.
  18. I met suspense with Dee Henderson’s O’Malley family.
  19. Amanda Tero, my favorite orphan train book in the world.
  20. Hedlund, Dickerson, and Havig have the best young adult fantasy.
